How to record a good introduction

What to say

Your name and where in the Philippines you are based.
Your main specialization and how many years you have done this work.
The tools and software you use most, such as Shopify, HubSpot or Google Workspace.
One concrete result you are proud of, with a number if you can (for example, tickets resolved or hours saved).
The hours and time zones you can work, and when you can start.
Why you enjoy remote work and what a client can count on you for.

Setting and appearance

Keep it to 2 minutes or less. Recruiters and clients watch many videos.
Record in a quiet room with no background music, TV or conversation.
Wear business attire, as you would for a client interview.
Face a window or a lamp so your face is well lit, with a plain, tidy background.
Put the camera at eye level, look into it, and stay centred in the frame.
Use a headset or earphones with a microphone if your laptop audio is weak.
Speak in English, at a calm pace. Talk naturally rather than reading a script.

Sharing the link

Upload to YouTube as Unlisted (not Private), or to Loom, Google Drive or Vimeo.
On Google Drive, set sharing to “Anyone with the link can view”.
Open the link in a private browser window to check it plays before you paste it here.

Cover letter (optional)

A short note to the recruiter: who you are, the kind of work you want, and why you would be a good fit.
